And then SHE said…

Some funny things people have said recently that made me feel all cheery and fine:

1. V telling me she thinks of me as an Indian. As in, there are things Americans do, but I don’t do all of those things, therefore…I am like an Indian. I would like to believe this means I am going to be an awesome anthropologist.

2. L and I keep saying we’re going to start a band. Girl learns that we have never heard each other play; questions rationale of starting a band under these conditions. L says, “Well, but it’s more of a musical affinity…” I would like to believe this means we are going to be an awesome band of anthropologists…but it is highly unlikely.

3. P and I get trapped by a Clipboard Person (Amnesty International, this time); try to make our escape. P: “You just have to believe me, she and I do AWESOME things for the world all the time. Seriously.” I believe that P is the greatest.

… and in between these delightful moments, I miss my full-time long-term faraway friends more and more. :(
